In this book, author Sophia Godkin—a health psychologist and happiness, relationship, and transformational coach—reinforces that theory with helpful prompts to give you an opportunity to reflect in various ways.
I was intrigued by this book because I love the layout: an inspirational quote at the top of a page, followed by insightful statements that encourage different thoughts, and a positive affirmation to close the page and start the day.
In my journey through this so far, I found I sometimes took a little longer than 5 minutes to record my observations but overall, it's been a delightful albeit brief addition to my morning routine to reframe how I want to start the day. However, some people prefer to do these types of exercises at night as they wind down. Even a midday pause would be good, too.
Many people don't like resolutions at the beginning of a new year, but setting goals is helpful at any time. Although this book doesn't have a page for every day of the year, you can definitely start with it now as a way to create an essential habit that could last a lifetime.
